Corporate Team

  • We’re looking for a R&D Chef to be the newest member of a team that is transforming the restaurant industry. At Salted, we’re building the next generation of fast food / fast casual brands all across the country, with a focus on better-for-you cuisine. Our food is gluten-free, clean-label, and plant-driven, but most importantly, highly craveable and delicious - the type of food you want to tell your friends about. If you are detail-oriented, passionate, and want to help shape the culinary program for the brands of tomorrow, then we want to hear from you.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    In this position, you’ll be asked to wear many hats, but most fundamentally, you will help drive culinary excellence for our brands across the country.

    • Work alongside our Senior R&D Chef to develop new recipes that meet our high standards of quality, nutrition, and scaleability

    • Identify opportunities to improve our existing recipes for increased consistency and cost savings

    • Collaborate with our Operations team to create training programs that ensure the scaleability and consistency of our recipes

    • Collaborate with our Operations team to source ingredients and products necessary for the execution and national scaleability of our recipes

    • Conduct regular tastings with our CEO and Brands team that include the presentation of detailed cost and nutritional information

    • Participate in the development of recipes intended to become CPG products and produced in third-party co-manufacturing facilities, including shelf-life and yield analysis

    • Track and analyze the vast customer feedback and performance data available at Salted and use this data to inform our culinary roadmap

    • Maintain the accuracy of our nutrition and food cost databases

    • Think outside the box and help us create better-for-you foods that “wow!”

    WHO YOU ARE

    The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented, has a deep understanding for the complexities of scaling recipes to hundreds of locations, is comfortable working in a fast-changing environment, and has an unquenchable thirst to create food that impacts millions of people’s lives.

    • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple tasks at once

    • Skilled problem solver with the ability to research and execute solutions

    • Highly creative with a desire to think “outside the box”

    • 2+ years experience working in a culinary (restaurants, catering, CPG, R&D) position

    • Mastery of foundational culinary skills (knife work, flavor profiles, health and sanitation standards)

    • Big plus if you have experience working with gluten-free and plant-based ingredients

    • Knowledge of HACCP, SOP’s, and government/industry food safety and quality regulations, codes, and standards

    • Ability to collaborate with other departments, proactively identify problems/opportunities, and take ownership of deadlines and deliverables

    • Wants to work in an extremely fast paced, data-driven environment with ambitious goals

    We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Catering Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue by selling our catering services, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of events. This position offers a competitive salaried compensation with benefits, a base salary of $60,000 annually, and a 5% commission on all directly managed orders. The ideal candidate will start with an expectation of generating $10K-$20K in weekly sales, quickly progressing to a baseline of $20K per week.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales Generation (80%)

    Develop and Execute Sales Strategies:

    • Implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed weekly and annual revenue targets.

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive sales efforts, including cold calling, networking, and leveraging business lists.

    Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

    • ·Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, catering partners, and other potential customers.

    • Conduct client meetings, consultations, and presentations to understand their catering needs and propose tailored solutions.

    • Implement customer retention strategies through follow-up calls, emails, and personalized client interactions.

    Sales Operations:

    • Respond promptly to inquiries, provide accurate quotes, and negotiate contracts to secure catering orders.

    • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase our catering services and offerings.

    • Conduct site visits and tastings for potential clients to demonstrate our capabilities and build trust.

    • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order management and client follow-up.


    Sales Tracking and Reporting:

    • Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to maintain and update customer databases.

    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely sales reports, tracking progress towards sales goals and analyzing sales trends.


    Managerial Tasks (20%)


    Team Collaboration and Support:

    • Manage and support sales and support teams, including offshore resources handling escalations.

    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and analyze team performance to ensure high-quality customer experiences.

    • Coach and support restaurant teams in following and executing catering standards.

    • Collaborate with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.

    • Provide guidance and support to hospitality support teams, kitchen operations, and other internal staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales environment.

    Process Improvement:

    • Assist in developing and refining sales processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Participate in sales training and development initiatives to continuously improve sales techniques and knowledge.

    Administrative Duties:

    • Help manage promotional campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.

    • Support the coordination of large-scale events and special projects as needed.

      Requirements and Skills

    Experience:

    • ·Proven experience in catering sales or a related sales role, preferably within the hospitality or food service industry.

    • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and generating significant revenue.

    Skills:

    • Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a consultative selling approach.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Proficiency with CRM software and Google Suite.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

    Attributes:

    • Energetic, self-driven, and highly motivated to achieve and surpass sales goals.

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Creative problem-solving skills to tailor catering solutions to client needs.
